Nice to meet you! I’m Alyssa "AC" DeMarco.

My background spans artmaking, teaching, and digital marketing and production – from studying Fine Art in high school, to receiving my BA in New Media from Purchase College, to spending years as a museum educator and freelance artist.

I previously served as Director of Education at the Alice Austen House Museum, where I taught photography, women’s history, LGBTQ+ identity, and creative storytelling to students across the NYC school system. Later, I focused more intensely on my digital marketing skills, working as a creator and producer at small startups and a boutique marketing agency (The Sasha Group, a VaynerX company).

Simultaneously, for the past decade I’ve worked independently as a videographer, photographer, illustrator, and digital media producer, crafting stories for brands and musicians/artists.

My current practice spans digital painting, mixed-media painting, and repurposed handmade pieces with heavy influences from the impressionism and expressionism movements.

About The Studio

ACD Studio is a living gallery shop highlighting pieces where I explore color theory, sensory connection, and the textures of daily life in my art. I create & work in spaces that inspire the core theme of my work -- repurposing, which includes collaging, reimagining, and reshaping existing works.

I newly founded objects permanent, a crafted upcycled home brand made up of a curated line of colorful art and homewares designed to help people reconnect with their spaces. The name is a soft wink to ADHD object permanence struggles, but more deeply, it’s about creating things so full of personality and care that you want to keep them, live with them, and pass them on permanently.

Across every medium, I’m most interested in the emotional impact of color, the comfort of handmade things, and the way art helps us feel more connected to ourselves, and ultimately each other.
